Header, Intake, & Exhaust - is it stock

this is the b16a dohc VTEC i will be installing into '88 hatch. does ne1 know if the exhuast manifold is stock or other ? just curious

Yeah, a B16A is a damn fine alternative. Little less power and torque, but a lot less money, and still enough "go" to make you very very happy. Plus, it's a kickass platform to build on.

yeah, its a beauty of a find...'88 hatches, stock, have a D16A6 SOHC i believe

EDIT: oh now i see what your asking, yeah thats mos def not stock, it looks like a DC ceramic header to meh

And only the Si's have A6's. The rest are D15B1/2/6

big smile: good news from you guys about the motor and header, i've been jazzed all week, i cant wait. i want to install a new clutch while the engine is out of the car, have flywheel resurfaced, then hopfully on sunday it goes in.
i found the stamp on the block, said simply b16a, guy im getting engine from thinks it was a "del sol si-R" , sound acurate? and what year group so i can get the right , plugs, clutch kit, etc

If it's out of a Del Sol, it could either be a 5G (92-95) JDM Del Sol (B16A), or a 5G (94-97) USDM Del Sol VTEC (B16A3).

That's not an 88 engine; that's the B16A.

absolutely correct, b16a. and after looking around the header is pretty much an exact match for a dc 4-2-1, 2 peice, accept no dc placard stamped to it. but hey the cost was $0.00, id call that a BARGAIN....
