I have done several days of surfing and i think i am a little more confused today then i was before i started reading about swaps. Anyway...
I have a 95DX, according to one website any b-series should bolt right in. I am looking for the most horsepower without having to do major modifications. i can handle changing mounts and maybe a vtec wiring.
A few other suggestions were a F22, H22, and H23.
Anyway if someone has done a similar swap please enlightedme on the subject.
I would like to put in DOHCVtec close to 200hpif possible. What are my options? thanks

h22 is gonna be the best bet if you are going to stay n/a and want around 200 hp for a decent price. there is a k20 that you can get but thats around 6k. its the best honda motor to buy if you are going to stay n/a, but the swap is a bitch and if it was easy and cheap, you would see more people doing it. the b series are going to be from 160-180 and im not familiar with the F22.

What does n/a mean?
thanks for the superfast responses! hey byers what car does a h22a come out of. I remember u gave me the streetimports site, that motor costs 2.2K anyway. If i buy the H22awhat other parts do i exchange from the 95Dx to ensure the best performance. Tranny, intake, exhaust, ect.?

the 95DX is nonvtec SOHC. If i purchase the H22a do i have to do some special wiring for the vtec? or any special wiring at all?
i see the complete package, wit ECU, tranny and mounts complete swap package for 2.2K is that pretty good . PLus shipping!

yeah preludes, thanks
Ya thats a normal price. N/A means Normally Aspirated. Yes you will have to wire VTEC. Also you probly need axles and a sifter for that cable tranny which means you gotta cut a hole in the firewall for it to go through.

one modle of preludes...accord euro R's and type r's in japan. F22 came from usdm accords and all other preludes.
f22 makes less power...but still makes the accord go pretty quick...now, put that motor in a civic with the longer gears...umm buddy

n/a = naturally aspirated, as in no turbo/supercharger
and yes H series are in Preludes, D series would be the easiest since its a direct replacement, other than that a B series would be easier, and an H series after that. K would give you crazy good power, but you need lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$ (yea, that many $'s are necesarry)

they arnt in all preludes...i belive its only one or two trim levels.....i know this kid that used to go to my school had a prelude with an f22 in it and he wanted to race my friend with his f22 accord. prelude had no vtec and the accord did. i dont think they ever raced though...

thanks guys, HFC is the best! If i wanted to do turbo/supercharger what would be the best engine to look for? a b-series?
Lost can u explain the the whole cable through the firewall. I hear u but it is not computing. the original dx doesn't have a cable tranny?

b or a d series would be your best bet for a turbo/sc. research research research before you go out and think about doing one of these two options though.

so how does the h22 tranny fit inside the 95dx? what modifications do i have to do for the cable?
^you have to cut a hole (MUST be in the right place) in the firewall in order to get you cables (from the tranny) up to the shifter (ill try to get a pic). Your shifter righ now uses rods that are under the car, the H22A shifter has the cable come right up through the floor, thats where you need the hole. The tranny will fit (keeping in mind this engine will be very snug).
I think I did about 5 months of research on the H22 swap, it finally scared me off though.
