Audio/Visual & Electronics - door chime questionView Full Version : door chime question jason_hann53 05-10-2007, 09:48 PM heyy. i think that little chime that goes off every time the key is in the ignition and the doors are open, is VERY annoying. i was wondering, would it be stupid to stop that, and how would i go about stopping it? mike21190 05-11-2007, 10:31 AM i think thats themost annoying noise. it only helps me when i leave my lights on and it chimes otherwise it drives me nuts. rice99ex 05-11-2007, 10:51 AM I know that if you put the key in the ignition and turn it forward while the door is open it wont make that sound, other than those forst 5 or 6 beeps. If your door is closed and turn the key, then open the door it will go off. Thats the way it is with my car anyway. FlipHKD720 05-11-2007, 10:54 AM theres a fuse for it, if you can find a fusebox diagram for the one in your interior, pull it out of there jason_hann53 05-11-2007, 12:22 PM alright il look for a diagram, thanks flip. i wasnt sure if it was a wire or a fuse, but il just look for the fuse. jason_hann53 05-11-2007, 12:32 PM anyone know hwere i could find a fusebox diagram for a 02 civic coupe? Mr Mobsta Man 05-11-2007, 12:54 PM Your manual. phan10m 05-11-2007, 09:29 PM Will it be the same chime for the lights too? cuz I like the handy leave my lights on chime but I never wear my seatbelt ..i know STFU.. but anyway is there a seperate one or is it all the same fuse jason_hann53 05-12-2007, 12:10 PM does anyone know what the fuse that i need to pull would be called in the manual? and would it be in the interior fuse box or under the hood? im thinking interior but im not sure jason_hann53 05-12-2007, 11:33 PM so i got it:) there was a rubber cover on the button taht gets pressed when your door is closed, and behind the cover there was a bolt and i undid it and there was a connector on the end so i disconected it and no more chime :) windcalmer 05-12-2007, 11:38 PM I would leave it hooked up. LOL Just a thought. jason_hann53 05-13-2007, 12:03 AM well i live in a small town, and i rarely leave it, so if id id lock my keys in my car, its like a half hour walk from wehrever i am in the city to get a spare haha so personally im not too worried about it windcalmer 05-13-2007, 07:39 AM Oh, that works.
