I found a DIY on how to do this on h-t and I was just wondering if you guys have seen it done or if you like them. I hate my needles so I think I might swap in a GSR cluster along with black reverse glow gaues. What do you guys think?

i personally like it, but they don't fit perfectly and will leave a gap on it and cut off part of the sides

Yea but its fits fairly well, there isn't like a huge hole there or anything. Plus it's tach position would fit my car better than the stock one because my racing steering wheel is smaller than stock and I can't see the 1-3.5 numbers on my tach because the wheel is in the way.

Here is a picture of the swap if anyone doesn't know what it looks like:

i dont think there is a diy u jsut basically bolt a hole if not cut part of the plastic nad mount it in and i believe that only 2 bolts would fit for the guage cluster but still holds in place

It's not just plug and play. You have to re-pin the harnesses and ghetto rig/custom make mounting brackets so it stays in place.

I believe it's an integra...

GSR is the trim level of the integras, it's like the CX, DX ect for the civic's.

I too hated the non lit needles and debated the swap but I ended up doing uv spray with a uv cold cathode to light up the needles. The effect looks good and I'm happy with the outcome....

Just spend the extra dough for an Si cluster or something. Pretty much the same layout and loooks better imo

Yea it's an Integra GSR. Id rather have the GSR cluster insted of the Si cluster because its just something you don't see very often, besides thats plug and play. Where's the pride in installing that?

It's a crappy cell phone pic but it gets the idea acrost. I have them set up so when I dimm the gauges the cathodes stay full bright so when dimmed (the leds are a bit bright) the needles glow strong..like so,

Oh and the UV wash isn't as strong/noticeable, my cell picked it up alot more than it is....
