D16z6 04-12-2005, 01:10 AM Mitsu Eclipse GS-t is a nice tuner car but kinda expensive though but if ur lucky to find one cheap then i'll go with it. Pete 04-12-2005, 01:48 AM when you want a fast tuner car CHEAP shouldnt be in your vocabulary Kappa22 04-12-2005, 02:42 PM There's a misconception if ever I heard one... Pete 04-12-2005, 05:01 PM what u mean kappa? ineedhp 04-13-2005, 03:59 AM mitsubishis are **** boxes period. i have an rs that is my daily driver. it's one of the biggest auto mistake i've made. all engines except the 4g63 are trash. i'm going to give my car to my brother in law when he goes to college this fall. so i suggest staying away from eclipses. i wouldn't even say anything if i didn't have one. get a civic or teg. no need to wasted your $. Nail I3unny 04-14-2005, 08:27 PM *cough* evo *cough cough* sacicons 04-14-2005, 10:12 PM *cough* he said cheap *cough cough* Kappa22 04-15-2005, 12:06 AM *cough cough* Hang on. Let me get some water... *cough gulp gulp* Ok, there we go. I think the correct thing to say is that NEW Mitsubishis excluding the Evo are pretty crappy... DSM's kick serious balls. You can't judge the whole crop just by driving the crappiest one (RS = Non 4G63). And pcupo, all I was saying is that it is possible to build a fast "tuner" (overused word) car at what would be considered a cheap price. Pete 04-15-2005, 12:30 AM totally understandable............but when most ppl use the word cheap.......they are talkin about next to nothing............like getting a civic Si and boosting it and runnin low 12s would be pretty damn cheap..........but 200 bucks aint goin to do the job. se7ensectoolate 04-15-2005, 12:56 AM ORIGINAL: ineedhp mitsubishis are **** boxes period. That's because you bought an RS. se7ensectoolate 04-15-2005, 12:58 AM Also, this might help in your search for a tuner car. Pick any two- cheap, fast, reliable. Kappa22 04-15-2005, 03:50 PM ORIGINAL: se7ensectoolate ORIGINAL: ineedhp mitsubishis are **** boxes period. That's because you bought an RS. Damn straight. Also, this might help in your search for a tuner car. Pick any two- cheap, fast, reliable. Or just replace "cheap" with "wholesale" and take all three... :D Nail I3unny 04-15-2005, 04:00 PM ORIGINAL: sacicons *cough* he said cheap *cough cough* what i said was in response to ineedhp saying all mitsubishis are **** boxes sacicons 04-16-2005, 11:07 PM OIC. but Evos have a lot of problems too. nothing enough to make them not worth it, but a lot of little stuff that gets to bothering me. jdmekb16 04-19-2005, 08:38 PM you could probably get a 240 shell for cheap. find a used sr20det motor, replace headgasket and turn up boost, and u r in business. there is a 240 shell on ebay right now for only 550.00. its an s14 body syle, a longblock and tranny, a headgasket, and a manifold and a larger turbo would be quick. for example. 91 240 with sr20det with full exhaust, front mount, and 12 psi ran a 13.2 on sumitomo **** tires Roost3r 04-26-2005, 04:22 PM ORIGINAL: HondaCivica Mitsu Eclipse GS-t is a nice tuner car but kinda expensive though but if ur lucky to find one cheap then i'll go with it. gsx is better and quicker in a 1/4 sacicons 04-26-2005, 10:54 PM yeah, but the rear ends eat themselves once you get some decent power. Wheelbroker 04-26-2005, 11:08 PM How about a cheap tuner car from the old days...say a 4dr Dodge Omni in about the 1978 year model..[sm=badidea.gif] WheelBroker Nail I3unny 04-28-2005, 06:07 PM ORIGINAL: DCAcivic ORIGINAL: HondaCivica Mitsu Eclipse GS-t is a nice tuner car but kinda expensive though but if ur lucky to find one cheap then i'll go with it. gsx is better and quicker in a 1/4 in general the eclipses chassis is too heavy and has too long a wheel base to make TOO great of a tuner...but they will do good if your doin dual-duty on 'em |
