Just be warned...if that EX is a CANADIAN SPEC car (like mine) it did NOT come with V-tec. Canadian Hondas of that age only had V-tec in the Si trim models.

Typically in SOHC Hondas, you won't notice much difference when vtec kicks in. If anything, a change in the tone of the motor is all you'll notice. It's more pronounced with an aftermarket intake as well.
