Header, Intake, & Exhaust - Magnaflow exhaust

How does the magnaflow catback sound on a civic. Is it loud? Is it that deep throaty sound? Does it sound nicer than the skunk 2 racing? Any one who knows about these exhausts, can u please let me know. I am about to buy either of the 2 and i just want the deepest one that isnt to quit. Thanx a lot.

Im sure it sounds great, Magnaflow is a reliable company just like Skunk2. Green98 lxsedan just put a magnaflow on his civi... get in touch with him. Im sure he'll hook you up.

sorry guys? My fault. I figured that since i wasnt geting any response on the skunk post that maybe i would get more on the magnaflow. Sorry about that.;)

By the way, do you know of any websites that i can find sound clips at besides magnaflow? I just want my exhaust to sound just right that is why im tryin to get so much info.

I think people here are just getting tired of answering the same questions about the Skunk2 exhaust thats all... put it this way, its definately one of the top 2 or 3 that you could put on your car. Period. It WILL sound good, there is a reason that it is so expensive.

And sorry, dont know any sound clip pages???

Hey silvercivic, does having the new cat make a big difference. Does it make it sound any different? Percormance? Also, have u ever heard a skunk 2 before? How does magnaflow compare to that. And if u can do u mind putting up some sound clips of the new pipe? Thanx a lot.

i cant do the sound clips caause i dont have anything to do it wit.
but ya it sounds better wit the cat caust the straight pipe makes stuff rattle. i know it rules on performance i had a stock exhaust and i put on the magnaflow exhaust. i put on some ractive headers and downpipes it lets it breathe a lot more and the performance shoots through the roof.
ya i heard the skunk 2 i like the magnaflow a lot better right when u put the magnaflow on it is quiet but give it like 2-3 days and it will get a lot louder. and it sounds great.

Hey greenlx do u have ur stock cat. Which one should i buy for my 94 civic if i get the magnaflow.

yea im stock on the cat. but once i get some headers i wont be running a cat.

Will the headers run directly to the magnaflow or ur gonna have to get a peice of pipe?

If i do get a cat would u reccomend getting new pipe from the cat to the headers? Also when i am looking for a cat what do i need and where do i get the one i need?

If i want to get headers does that mean i cant have a cat? What headers do i need so i can still run a cat?

If your cat is on the manifold and you replace it with a header you will either need to add one after the header or run it without one.

i called them on a thursday evening. and the exhasut arrived on tuesday. they are out of michingan and im in illinois so it wasnt that far of a trip. somewhere else might take a day or 2 extra but it was a good deal. at first when i called i was a little worried cause it souned strange. but they had great ebay feedback so i wnt with it. if you want the kit i really suggest callling them. you wont be dissappointed
