well clutch kinda crapped out on me today. the pedal wasn't working, and couldn't get into gears. i press the clutch pedal and it would stay down, and not release. car went on a flatbed. sucks seeing your car on a flatbed. you think that it could be just the pedal part?

usually the clutch will slip before it goes . so the question would be was it slipping before. was there any pressure in the clutch pedal or when u pushed it did it just go to the floor and stay there.

It's a hydraulic system like the brakes. Probably something let go and all the fluid leaked out. The clutch itself is OK, just it isn't linked to the pedal any more.
When your clutch is worn out, you can shift into gear, but the car won't move.

look under the dash and see if there is fluid all over if so its the master cylinder. if not it could be the slave cylinder. either way easy to fix and not to expensive...

the pedal will go all the way, and stay there. clutch wasn't slipping. i didn't look for any fluids, hopefully it's just a cable or fluid. hoping it's cheap. i got no money. i just bought a house. so i have non.

wasn't that bad, the ball joint and upper control arm had to get fixed at the same time, but the slave cylinder installed, bled the lines and all that ran about 150.
