Default 60MPG!!!!!!!!!!! No B.S.

My brother filled up the tank to his RSX before he let me borrow it, I drove it for a roundtrip total of 120 miles and I never saw the gas needle move... I got back home and re-filled the tank before I gave the car back to my brother.... $6 AND SOME CHANGE!!!!!!!! I don't understand how this happened, but I seriously got about 60 miles to the gallon...Just thought that I would share this little story with all of you, feel free to be amazed....

No, you did not get 60 MPG, although it does APPEAR you did.Tally the results of several tanks, then you will know what the real mileage is. There are WAY too many variables here to accurately say you got 60 (not 59.6 or 60.2) MPG. I don't mean to rain on your parade, just point out that 60 MPG is better that the hybrids get. Even if you came down out of the Rockies with a 40 MPH tailwind you would not get that mileage. Feel free to point out the errors in my thinking here.

unless you're running on two cylinders, your fuel filter is completely clogged, and you idled the entire way, lol

I took my old 98 sedan to Nashville once and it had a boosted jdm d15b in it and I averaged around 43mpg both ways.

Gas pumps could be different. The one you used couldve cut off much sooner then the one he used. 60mpg is not accurate at all Id stake my life on it unless it was downhill there and back and you coasted in neutral the whole way.

I know it's hard to believe, but I pumped the gas out until it couldn't anymore.... I'm in as much disbelief as you guys are, LOL!

It is not true. I'm not saying that you are a liar, just that you are mistaken. It is impossible, it just appears that way. The variable of the fuel cutoff points being different is a valid point. Also, incline where you filled it and other things might have happened.
