Events / Meets - MidWest meet at Busse Forest park July21st

Whats up, I have'nt been here in a while. Sold the Civic to upgrade to an Odyssey due to the growing family. Don't worry, I'm hooking up the Ody:D! Anyways, Busse Forest park is a little North of Chicago (like 15 min.) It will take place Saturday, July 21st unless it rains. Then we'll try the next day- Sunday the 22nd. PM me if you have any questions. I'll be putting flyers up at Speedquest and One6.

Can we get a direct address

There are a few sections to the park and since there is no resorvations, we just have to show up a claim one that willhave spacesfor a buch of cars. Take an immediate left after entering the park and you will be in a parking lot directly in front of the small pond (North Pool). To reach the boat rental area and access the Main Pool and South Pool, continue following the main road which will dead-end at the docks.

I don't know how many will be there. I just found out that a bunch of cars are going up to Union Grove for 'Import Wars' that same Saturday at 3pm[:@]. I have a ton of friends that are into the same thing and they have friends so you kinda got to think there should be at least a couple dozen cars. Plus I posted this up on HondaAcura.net, Odyclub.com and Craigslist.org. I will be getting to a open spot before 11am. The park closes at sunset but when it gets dark/late everyone shows up at the Streets of Woodfield (down the street)to hang out.

I'm in Kansas and had been looking for an excuse for a roadtrip in my new civi. I'd love to come if it's an open guest list sorta thing, I don't wanna intrude if you guys are pretty close on this forum and I'm just showin up...

I would love it ifyou came from that far! I'm into road trips too but my wife- not really. Anyone is welcome. Even if.....dare I say........a mustang shows up, I'm not gonna say- GET OUT OF HERE! I'm a nice guy:D.

8 hours from KC/Lawrence to Northern Chi-Town if you don't screwup by going through downtown, and do the speed limit the whole way (yea right... wait, kidding!), could prolly be a day trip from Ohio depending on where-in.

I do go to Streets sometimes. I have'nt driven my Odyssey cause it's not done- well enough to be there if you know what I mean.
8 hours= 6 hours then:D! Their might be some Odyssey owners coming from Ohio too. It'll be Saturday around noon when your coming through Chicago and traffic won't be bad nor will the cops. Just keep an eye on the ramps and under the bridges.

Hey, I'm from Detroit! I would LOVE to come to this event. My civic needs a road trip. I JUST went turbo a week ago.

Cool- seems like alot of people are going turbo, which is a good thing. Hope to see you and your car on the 21st. Bring anyone else you know from up there that wants to do a road trip.

We should do a meet at Import Wars some time. I think there are only 3 more events this year though. I'd come on the 21st but I have final exams for summer school on the 26th so I will be studying.

How do I get there from Milwaukee and Dempster? I don't really know that area that well. I might come if my friend isn't going to go to Import Wars.

Ya, we could meet up for import wars- I have'nt been to one this year yet. Whens the next one- sometime in August, right? I am not familair with the that area where your coming from so try putting your address in yahoo maps and then Busse Forest Park as the destination.

Sunday August 19th is the next Import Wars (after the one this Saturday). Is this park near Forest Park? Thats the address I get when I put it into Yahoo Maps.

Okay, sorry for the bad directions. I went to map quest even though I would not recomend using their directions exactly. Anyways enter Busse Park, higgins rd. Elk Grove Village IL. 60007.

Well that was lame, no one was there. Waste of gas

I was there- I did'nt notice you until you were pulling out. Everyone came later than I thought- around 7pm. I know next time to just set a time for later in the day. Sorry for the "waste of gas". I had the white 1st gen Odyssey parked right in front of the lot at Grove #4. Plus everyone I asked said they didn't see the sign I made. I don't have pictures to prove(my sisterhas my camera)that their were these cars but they were here......3 WRX's, 1 EVO, 2 Prelude's, 1 turbo Eclipse, 1 2nd gen turbo RX-7 and my Ody. We all got kicked out at about 9pm. I was kinda upset it did'nt really work the way I wanted it to but oh well.

Ya cuz i was totally down to meet up. I wouldnt mind another that drive was not far at all for me. I actually came back home to check if i was at the right place and went back and nothing. But i wouldnt mind a reschedule before summer ends

Sunday August 19th is Import Wars at Great Lakes Drag Strip. Its about an hours drive but there should be a crap load of imports there. I'm itching to go since I have never been there. Link is attached.
