My friend told me to do a frankenstein switch and put a Si head on my motor. Can someone give me a list of things ill need . Will i need to put in a new computer or can i adjust my current one to the new head, does the timing belt have to come off to get the new head on? what else will i need to do this the right way and not F up my engine. thanks guys sorry im no pro but im learning more, the help is much appreciated.

#1 - don't listen to your friend again
#2 - wait until you take that auto class, that way you might be a little more educated and prepared for this task.

-it's called a "mini-me" swap considering you have a sohc, a "frankenstein" is the same process for dohcs
-you will need many parts including the head and edu and wiring, along with other things and the list goes on.
-you can't fit a b series head (si) on a d series motor.
-timing belt will have to be replaced
-if i were you in your shoes, i would hold off and wait till you know a little more and research this.
-you'll see a performance gain of about 15-20 hp depending on the supporting mods and condition of the motor.

this has been covered a million times. just google it, you'll learn a lot.

if you turbo a b18 make sure you get a b18c1 not the c5

why not c5? it's like ordering a steak instead of a hamburger (c1). they're both great either way, but you can't beat a steak, lol.

ya know i didnt even think about c5 really that wouldnt be too bad really its just gettin money, when you pay bills and got tons of other crap to do its hard to save for the ride.
