Unless you have some kinda like new sedan civic. civics r typically in the familly for raceing. now i noticed that theres been alot of arguing about A/C and power steering and ****.. PERSONALLY , i think your a female if u have a/c & powersteering in your car.. i have a 1995 dx coupe with a b16 swap, and i dont have a/c nor power streering and it runs me just great. :) thanks - johnny

what the hell are you talking about? no one asked you your opinion on ac or power steering, and you have no righttalking like that toothers just because they prefer minor comforts and you don't. if you don't have either, then no one cares, good for you.

My first car didnt have AC, luckly it was a jeep. Id never not have AC on a DD. Especially a tin can DD like a civic.

btw hows that civic autox without power steering?

um, ok, and for the record, i own ac because it's hot as balls where i live, and i think you're a dumbass riding in this kind of weather without it just because you "think" you're tough and cool. but i do not own powersteering mainly because it didn't include it and frankly, i do not like the way it feels.

its fine man.. thats why i say power streering is pointless in a civic.. i had it both when it HAD power steering and now it doesnt.. no diffrence WHATSOEVER when driving. just a little bit while sittin COMPLETLY still, even if ur rolling like 1-2 mph its not a problem at all.

its not that bad to use a/c but in there hot cali days.. all that humid, your engine running.. hot ass oil.. then u turn on ur a/c to comfort ur self and ur engine is just working like a slave dog on a hot summer day.. clearly i can tell u never had a turbo.. on hot ass summer days.. ul relise wat the heat does.. makes turbo just not wanna kick in... laggin on the boost.. everything.. its how it is

um, ok, whatever, i guess you could say you right about one thing, that i've never owned a turbo, but i don't really see how all of this relates to your primary post. everything in your engine bay is a victim of wear and tear and friction. a motor is made to be driven and "worked", using a little ac in no way affects the life of the motor. if you want to care for your motor so it will last, instead of removing ac, why don't you just try and drive it without redlining (like i know you do) and drive it correctly.

^+1 and change the oil on time, use quality parts/fluids and keep up on maintenance.

i just got my a/c compressor to start working so i was driving around with no a/c for a year and now tht i have a/c the only time i use it Truefully is when a girl is in my car becase lets face it Gril dont like to get sweaty unless there doing (rated M stuff) also i think it dpends on where u live becasue In Florida,Texas, California where tht ***** reaches over an 100 degress trust me u need the a/c. power steering doesnt really bother me but **** A/C is luxury and most of us use it. ITs like u saying tht u NVER USE the A/C in ur house than i really feel sorry for the peopl that sleeping in ur house becasue tht *hit gotta be hot unless u live in a cold climate area and than if u do u use the heater. its the came for car it all depend where u live

According to the story in Star Wars the 'storm troopers' pictured in my avatar are actually human, but technically they are clones.However no one who hadn't read the scripts for the whole series would have known that until the release of Episode II, well at least that fact was foreshadowed in Episode II, it may not have actually been revealed until Episode III. Well I am kinda late on this I have been in the same area that EJ lives if your running around there with no ac your ****ing nuts! I do that in oregon my ac does not work and I have another pump sitting in my shop waiting to be installed.

Wow, do you think not using A/C in Texas would make me less of a man? No-it would just make me lose all the women I have hanging all over me because I'd show up everywhere looking like I just got out of a swimming pool.

Ok, but seriously, making things harder on yourself and giving up amenities doesn't make you cool when you do it for no reason other than to try and feel manly.

You dont even really free up any power by doing this, 1 maybe 2 at the most. Weight savings are what it helps more than anything but I'll say this you canthink I am less of a man because I leave the a/c and power sterring in my Vette and I'll think your less of a man because you drive a 100 to 150hp econo car.

This ek that im building wont have ac or ps, because its going to used for track racing.
