Default Honda Civic spoiler.

Hey guys, Im new here. I bought a honda civic LX07 a month ago. Heres a pic.

So anyways I wanna install a Civic SI Spoiler on it but its gonna cost $720 to buy and install it at my dealer! So I found this one online.

http://www.customautotrim.com/spoile.../civic/wg1697/

I was wondering if that is the exact spoiler on an SI cause its about $300 cheaper then one from the honda dealer. Also if I bought this one would it be easy to install? Thanks in advance.

Notice it says "Factory Style", meaning it looks just like OEM, but its not actaully from the dealer, which i imagine will work jsut fine. Installing them is just marking off 4 holes (usually), drilling them through the trunk lid, then bolting it on from the bottom of the trunk lid up. If you take your time, make sure its lined up perfect and all that, its totally doable yourself, although i'd have it paitned by a professional before you get it installed

Oh actually one more question. Would you guys go with a honda certified spoiler or a much cheaper look alike? Will anything go wrong with the cheaper one cause that would be embarrassing if it like broke off while driving...

haha i dont think itd break off, specially if you buy it from a legit business/website. I'd go the cheaper one, alot of times OEM parts are waaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced (thus the "stealership"). If you get it painted/clearcoated really well, i say you dont have anything to worry about it. It'll prolly come with bolts to install it, just tighten them down really well

I saw the vin on the door but no color code... And the sale ends the 17 so I wanted to order it now. Btw is that customautotrim a reliable company?

maybe its differnt on the 7th gens, but on my car right next to the VIN there was another code which was my paint code, there were no other codes on the little sticker?
