suspension ideas
I'd say get coilovers if you live in an area that has bad winters or bad roads, I'd say get coilovers. Otherwise, just get a set of lowering springs. I say this because if your car will be seeing a lot of snow, you'll want to raise it (almost) back up to stock height; you can't do this with lowering springs, but you can with coilovers. Personally, I'd say get something along the lines of Skunk2 or Ground Control coilovers and some nice adjustable struts (so you can keep the struts stiff when you lower the car, but soften them up when you raise it up).
I personally have Ground Control coils and KYB AGX struts lowering my car about 2.5", and they've done just fine on the back roads of PA.

there are springs (or coilovers), struts, upper control arms, lower A frames, top hats, sway bars, etc.
if you want a simple drop, S Techs with stock struts and a nice alignment will be fine if you want to get rid of a little wheel gap and have a sportier ride without going too harsh (ex. me and my coilovers)
