Kappa22 04-28-2005, 07:59 PM There are two different black top DOHC ZC's: The most common is the yellow plug version (straight drop-in for 4G's, 130 hp, 108 tq), and then there is the harder-to-find gray plug version (140 hp, 109 tq) that will drop right into a 5G. Good luck finding one though. AnakinKenobe 04-28-2005, 09:29 PM So yes it will you just need to purchase the proper mounts, last i checked it was around 1k for the mount from where i am in MD, and i can think of alot of bolt ons i could purchase for my sohc d16 motor.. martinr_440 04-28-2005, 10:17 PM im pickin up the engine this summer i was offered it for $1500cnd it has AEM cam gears, crane cams and a 2 peice header. Kappa22 04-28-2005, 10:57 PM Sweet deal. But a mount kit should only run you around $300-400 USD... blackeyes 04-28-2005, 11:37 PM i was gonna say go with a b16 but if its semi cuilt, sounds like a good deal. martinr_440 04-29-2005, 02:55 PM been doin some reaserch on the net. I havn't been able to find any ZC Dohc swaps into a 5g civic. Seems like too much of a struggle to try so when i get it i might just sell it and go for a b16 Nail I3unny 04-29-2005, 05:24 PM b16 is more expensive than a zc by far Kappa22 05-03-2005, 06:34 AM Not actually much more than a gray-plug ZC. Those are helza rare. |
