To have your exhaust exit out the side of the front bumper?

That's totally NOT legal in the US. The exhaust must exit behind the driver's position. If you've seen older muscle cars with side pipes, like the Stingray, the side pipes are extended to beyond the driver's position.

This is the law so that the driver doesn't get CO poisoning.

Are you sure that that is an exhaust outlet?

those i think are legal in some states (texas is the only one i know about), or they wont care. it depends on which state your in as well as how loud it is. if its not that loud and not reallt noticeable, i dont think cops would care and pull you over. they might ask how you went about gettin that. i think it's pretty cool. i live in CT, and i know having the exhaust before the rear tires is illegal. i have a 2007 mustang GT500 with a custom exhaust, cirvini body kit and custom paint job, and the exhaust comes out the side of the car before the front tires, but i've only got pulled over twice, and both times were so cops can look at the thing. they love the side exhaust.

That's what I was thinking. But since I know nothing about Turbos:( I didn't want to be pwnd myself. lol

btw, I didn't know that wastegates were that large. I though they were just discrete pipes coming down.

I think, NO I DIDN'T. Notice you are showing a German concept car, thus not necessarily street legal in an country. So call BS elsewhere.

Well sh!t... ...As far as I knew it was illegal in all 50 states. I know that it's illegal in Wisconsin. That I know is true because I sat and read all the legalities about cars. I actually went to the police station about 6 years ago and asked for a copy of automobile laws. They printed off this 30 page document and I learned quite a bit. And the reason I did so was to find out if underbody lights were really illegal. So, I guess I cannot speak for others states. Sorry for the miss information.

Oh, and about the Mercedes, lol... ...give me a break since I don't even know who Mandy Moore is and I live in Wisconsin. How would I ever see that things, lol

That merc is pretty extreme. Bet its uncomfy as hell but. OT, but try this car on for size...

If that doesnt come up... http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/private/TOYOTA/CELICA/details.aspx?__sid=114E62423C81&Cr=0&__Ns=pCar_Pri vateSpecialFlag_Int32|1||pCar_ImageCount_Int32|1|| pCar_LastModifiedDate_DateTime|1&State=All%20State s&distance=25&silo=1003&seot=0&__Nne=20&Model=CELI CA&R=1552592&__N=4294962861+0+504+4294962171+834+2 85+257&Make=TOYOTA&state_id=0&trecs=65

Anyway, Im sure that exhaust before the rear tyres is illegal in Oz... just incase anyone cared, lol. I must ask though lost, that pic in your signature... what the hell?

And Marty, it wasnt exactly an asskicking, it was actually a pretty close war until Hitler made a few tactical errors that he paid for.

Marty

Well it may not have been a asskicking yet but it was coming, remember we turned over 140,000 people into ashes in the nation we were really fighting

As far as I know, if the vehicle wasn't maufactered that way then it illegal. Like some muscle cars have exhaust before the rear wheel and really old cars didn't come with seatbelts.
