Audio/Visual & Electronics - It should be sweet

ok i am startin up a little project tomroow..
just a couple questions

first off what im doing is takin my amp and flipping it over.. its an older v12 and i was lookin under the inspection plate a couple weeks ago to see if it was fried casue sumthin screwd up .. i posted about that., ANYWAY.. i had the idea to leave the inspection plate off and replace it with lexon... and make a bracket to hold the amp and hide all the connections underneath.. and so i'd have my amp upside down.. and this is the big part.. my amps gettin old and doesn't have internal fans.. i got a couple tho im gonna install.. out of computers and other electronics.. i havin't decide what one im gonna put in yet but i was just wondreing.. would it screw anything up bein upsdie down and would it have heating problems having the top part of the amp upside down on the fabric of the sub box... even with the internal fans im gonna put in..

other things im doin with this is tinitng the edges and leavin about a 4 inch widestrip through the middle so you can see the internals bein lit up by leds..

Sounds nice. Ive seen it done before. The whole boot floor was a perspects show case, and all the amps, crossovers and so on had their covers off and had all their electronic components exposed. It looks good, but I think that he just put a few VCR and computer mother boards in there to fill it up cause there was more components in there than I could identify with car audio. Anyway, If you put cooling fans in there then I cant see there being any problems and you shouldnt have any troubles becasue its upside down. It only depends on how hot your amps get generally. If you already have heating issues, then you might want to look at a better cooling solution, otherwise, it will be no wuckers ;)

well id say dont have it just upsidedown.... if ya can mount it verticaly at least...
i did that type setup on my old towncar i had i had a CADANCE A7HC amplifier which KICKED @SS but it had plexiglass backing factory ;)

with it completly upsidedown overheating can very well be a problem if the heatsink isnt that great.... but if the a mplifier doesnt have a OVERHEAT protection its a DEFINATE DONT DO.... but verticaly it should be fine.
what i would do is test the amplifier out if ya got a thermeter and bump the amp hard mounted normaly.... then flip the amp over and test it out again same song and volume same time and check the tempature again...
i never used a fan on my old A7amplifier cause i just didnt need to.... built great!
