Autocross and Road Course Racing - last autox of the year...

well today was the last autox of the year. 4 from RDR raced today. i personally didnt like the course too much, couple big sweepers, not real technical. still made the best of it and i was sloppy, but damn it was fun haha. was cold and tires didnt get a chance to warm up at all. we only got 3 runs insted of the typical 4 since the sun goes down so early now. i got 3rd in my class, was a bit surprised and very happy i got a trophy for the last event.

got 3 cones, and got them good![sm=lildevil.gif] one of those bastards managed to unclip one of the clips that holds my bumper on[sm=oopssign.gif]. itswas on the passenger side,same side that has a crack on the bumper and also has a lot of scratches on the paint from hitting cones[sm=lol.gif]

since the 4 members who raced today(john, randy, mike and myself) raced most often from RDR this year, heres our best standings.

John('99 CSP Miata): 2 first places, 2 second places, and 5 third places. 9 events out of 12 he placed in this year.
Randy('92 SM2 MR2): 1 first place, 1 second place. 2 events out of 6 he placed in this year.
Mike('99 STS Civic SI): 1 first place, 2 third places. 3 events out of 15 he placed in this year.
myself('95 STS Civic EX): 4 first places, 2 second places, 3 thrid places. 9 events i placed in out of 19 this year.

one u can see in the vidcone got knocked the fawk out[sm=laughat.gif] luckily it didnt fly back and hit my camera...the cone that messed up my bumper got hit pretty hard, was damn loud inside the car haha. another cone got stuck under my car and i dragged it for close to 20 seconds before it came out. wish i would have dragged it back to the finish so i could keep it as a trophy[sm=lol.gif]

Are you guys (Philly) doing a winter series this year?

dont know yet. Philly Region held all 3 of their winter series events at Ripken Stadium(where this event was held at) this past winter. BUT, there are some issues going on with using Ripken Stadiums lot(politics in the city and whatnot)and no one knows if the lot will be open for events next year. Philly Region along with other clubs that hold events there are fighting for it and we know the Ripken Stadium welcomes us. were all hoping we can get it back, its a good lot. if Ripken Stadium is taken away, they still may do a winter series somewhere in Pennsylvania. no word of anything yet tho...
