Check out the hole in my old engine. You can see right through it when it is standing upright.

I was going down the freeway at 60mph when it went. No warning. Just boom. It had oil in it and the and was planning to change the oil that weekend.

 

Ever run nitrous? How many miles ya got on it.?

 

As far as I know - no NOS. I bought the car about 5 weeks before it blew. Engine had 266K. I think the previous owner knew that it was going south when he sold it to me. I tried to baby it as long as I could, but I didn't think I would have something like this happen.

I had that happen to my Y8. I was pulling it in the shop to change out the crank when it happened. I'm with every one else thump his head good.
