got an 89 civic 1.5 runs great for a minute or 2 then dies. i,ve replaced coil, distributor ,plugs and wires. still loses fire.

This problem is often caused by a faulty EACV (see picture). Is the Check Engine Light (CEL) ON?

I have an extra EACV off of my 89DX 1.5 if you need one cheep

Yes it works, I just swapped engines and i took all the parts off of the old block, so I have an extra EACV.
