The Lounge - street racing in the states, what are the penalties?

Recently got copped street racing in queensland australia where i live and came damn close to getting my car confiscated! Was caught racing with my undercar neon kit blaring, doing 120 in a 60 zone. It was like, 2am and there was no one around in the middle of nowhere, im spewing! im staring down the barrell of losing my liscense. Just wondering what happens to you guys over there? Whats the worst penalties????:eek:

About the same, car impounded, loss of lisence and a huge bill to name a few.

Update on my wonderful tangle with the law... Now am on a one year good driving behaviour bond, if I lose even one point, my liscence goes for a year! NOT happy! ALSO, got defected the other day cos they don't like my park lights so I have had to change them. Not to sound picky or anything, but if you get pulled up 10 TIMES in a fortnight, doesn't that just slightly border on harrassment?!?!?

It depends on the state and the cop's mood. Most dont allow any leeway.

car impounded, speeding ticket, reckless driving, court, court fees, license possibly suspended, perhaps even jail time.
