I have been researching vtec engines and was wondering for performance what your favorite was?

Ive learned that the SOHC VTEC-E is more power in low RPM and the D15B engine is prolly the best because it offers 3 Stage. So from what I am reading it seems that you can only get a newer civic with a SOHC VTEC-E which isnt as fast?

 

um... Vtec-e only came in the 92-95 civic VX, all motors now have iVtec, but for a best performance it would be an argument till the death, but all perform basically the same.

 

the 7th gen civics have vtec-e.....

 

Ah yes i just remembered it was in 96-00 HX's, but i didn't realize that it as in 01-05's as well, we don't have the HX model in Canada. Guess you learn something new everyday

 

haha yeah. I hate the vtec-e.

but with the new civics they have ivtec
