7th Gen - 02 Civic EX, high cruise RPM

Well, with gas prices hitting record highs everywhere, I could lately care lessasto making my Civic into a fast car. I have a 2002 MT EX, which has been a very good car for me. The thing is, at 60 mph, it cruises in 5th gear at 3000 rpm's. A good friend, has a 2001 MT LX and his cruises at 60 mph at closer to 2200 rpm in 5th. Is mine geared different than his, and if so I would rather have the gas milage he is getting vs the miliage I am getting, what can I do?Thanks!

yeah there geared diffrent, my friend had a dx that was the same way.

I will take a guess that changing the gearing on a MT is no easy task?
