with it being on sale on ebay, you're taking a risk. Items for sale solely on ebay don't often have reputable brand names attached (or are knock-offs), and they don't have the quality control of those brands. Also, looking at the header, it's design has something to be desired. 4-1 headers aren't bad, but if you look at where the runners merge into one, it's an abrupt angle, which isn't great for the exhaust flow.

I'd say check into a DC header (if you're in cali) or Megan Racing or Hedman (if you live anywhere else). All three are great brands.

Copied from the HEADER FAQ (http://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_493226/tm.htm):

Q. $8 for a header on eBay?? What, is it made of plastic?
A. First off, eBay stores get their money from the shipping. The shipping will probably be like $40, which is totally unrealistic. So the total ends up being about $50 for a brand new header. With eBay, it’s always a risk. You USUALLY get what you pay for, although in come cases you might get lucky. The header might serve its purpose very well for a long time, or it could crack within a month. You will probably have fitment issues, either with the doughnut style gasket not lining up or o2 sensor’s not reaching (amongst other things), so it’s a risk.

Alot like what Reaper siad, it's a risk. I've had my eBay header for like, almost 2 years now and it hasn't cracked and it's done it's job fine so far, but i consider myself REALLY REALLY lucky. I've haerd of runners cracking in just a few months. I say drop the extra $50 on a Megan header just to be safe.

I say go with Dc Sports or Megan...Keep an eye on e-bay and search forthose brands sometimes they tend to have good deals. Make sure it's original and not something they claim is like Dc Sports or Megan. Were you will get screwed up for buying a fake brand

Just make sure you're picking up a high flow cat.. Otherwise it'll be illeagal to drive.

He has an si; the header is, well, just a header. The cat is immediately after the header. Changing the header doesn't affect the cat in any way, shape, or form. It's the non-si/ex owners that have to worry about their cats when they change out their header.
