is there anything i can do to make vtec "kick" harder?

Get a twin-cam engine... and stop expecting so much... it ain't a d**m turbo, it's just a cam changeover

 

there is something called a VTEC controller but from what i see it's generally looked down upon and doesn't do much....but Reaper speaks the truth. you've just got a little SOHC. If you had a B or H you'd definitely hear it kick HARDER!

 

Put a couple of 'Type R' stickers on your front fenders... it'll 'kick' like a ****.
