Street n Strip - jdm b18c5 against a z28

first, for all the guys who say my b18c5 beating a dodge hemi is no big deal.... eat me! i don't have tons of cash nor time to put a turbo on my car, so beating a hemi ain't too bad for a 4 banger. Just remember, not everybody in here a 400 hp car. here is a list of cars my "nothing to brag about" b18c5 civic has beat.

vr4 neon
mustang cobra
Z28
wrx
and everyother car that isn't running a 13.5 sec 1/4 mile.

and for everyone else who can beat that time... pat, pat, pat right on your back..

what kinda mods are you running, because that is the quickest n/a b18 i've seen. A cobra/z28... seriously? wow

AND a VR4 neon? wow...that must be factory experimental or soemthing!

i just did a rebuild on my car, pistons, rings, bearings, seals, gaskets, etc. in the process i had the block decked 20 thousands for higher compression. before the rebuild i was running 13.9 in the 1/4 mile. this motor is in a civic hatch which weighs about 220 lbs less than the integra it came in. this is the jdm and not the usdm b18c5. there are plenty of cars that can beat the stuffing out of me. i am just trying to enjoy the car beore it sells.

i meant srt 4 neon for all the smart assess out there.

lets see the timeslip. by the way..threantening me with your "knowledge of everything about racing" is even dumber than it sounds when you go ON and ON about a vr4 neon..and you even went so far as to send me a link to a VR4 webpage..one that explains that they are an all mitsubishi site...nice work kid,....really..cudos.

I whupped up on a Tercel today. I don't think he knew we were racing though.

well boosting a B18C5 is a bad idea........compression is WAYY too high for boost.......and idk about that list of cars u say u beat......a cobra will give u a run for ur money......and a WRX can just launch its ass off.......spool up and spit u out....but now if u are serious about getting ur car some more balls..............get intake headers exhaust and an intake manifold........ull bolt some power on it.

I guess i'm done with this site. Y don't you all go look up 1/4 mile times for the wrx, the cobra, the z28 and the SRT-4. Let me know which of them is running a 13.2 1/4 mile like i am. Then open up your fat mouths.

you originally said that you could beat any car that wasnt running 13.5s...now youre running 13.2s? so that means that you should be able to beat a 13.5 car...

again..nice work...why not stop "wasting your time here", and go out and race with your homeboy in his factory experimental "VR-4" neon...you have proven that you know very little about cars junior, and this might come as a huge shock to you, but cobras, wrx's, and z28s all come in different years, and their performance measures often change over the years, so you may need to specify what year.

So I have assembled a list of the 4 cars that you mentioned, and you said that you could beat any car not running 13.5s..so evidently you cant beat any of these ones, except for the neon...unfortauntely, I was unable to find any information on the VR-4.

i mean....having a fast car is one thing...coming on a website and spouting off about how he has a car that cant beat 13.5 cars, yet he runs 13.2s? then the list of cars that he can beat includes 13.5s cars, so he contradicts himself over and over..

thats true, cuz my freind who had a modded rsx-s (b4 his turbo) could beat my dads g35...and he got his doors blown by a z28

I don't even think there is a Hp difference. I'm pretty sure it's just suspension and badges and maybe the hood.

the SRT-4 motor is a 4 cylinder engine designed by DCX...it is not the same as the Evo 4 cylinder engine...nor is it the same as the older VR-4 cars. you have shown, in no way, that you posess knowledge of any kind...all you have done is spout off about a car you obviously do not have.

most of us dont really know domestics anyway so we really dont care. and you never did say what year the camero was

*sigh*...so much hatred [&:];)...although i totally do agree with patrick....there is no way he could keep up with an AWD STI, especially off the line considering it can put its 300hp to the ground without any problem...plus the 2001+ SVT cobras run 12's....thats a bit better than 13.5 (or 13.2).....i used to brag about beating other cars but i kinda stopped doing that when the only cars i can really beat are V6 stangs and a few domestic ricers (OHH!!! and the ppl who dont know they are racing!!![8D])....oh well i can brag about how much better gas mileage i get ;)

I waz all liyke, DAG, YO! and he wuz lyke Boooooya!!!!! and he was at least runnin 11's in dat sucker. I mean I run low 12's wit mah swap, you should get some knew tirs y0 cuz dat will at least push you into the hih 11's, and then you can hang with them.

I beg to differ. I have Pleny of old men jockin' the newer blown cobras, who dont know how to drive, and they run embarrassing mid 13s...your 12 second time is legit with a good driver.
