best mtf for 7th gen

what is the best mtf for my 01 civic lx? my book says honda mtf or equivilent but what is equivilent? ive been told royal purple makes the best gear oil and also syncro mesh additive. any advice.

I would go OEM, honda makes their fluids specifically for their engines/transmissions which are a little dif than over the shelf fluids my .02

ok, so i used 3/4 honda mtf and 1/4 penzoil synchromesh. after a few days of driving my 3rd gear grind went away and now it shifts smoother than ever.
