i was wonderin whether i should do the b16a2 swap or the h22a... i was really leaning towards the h22a cuz of the torque.. the b's are torqueless wonders. ajsdf093.

but the ease of installation would be a lot more appreciated with the b16a over the h22a.

what modifications does the h22a require? new mount kit? wiring?

sorry if this is a newbie question

the b's are torqueless wonders.HAH! ive got a B18 here that begs to differ. the B16 isnt known for its torque, but in a FF civic, you dont really want too much torque, or youll have a ton of traction problems. i can light up my Dunlop FM901s in first without hitting the clutch at all. just stomp on the gas while roling, and they start spinning.(motors still stock) the h22 is a more difficult swap, and will need a lot of extra parts if you plan on keeping AC or PS. and if you go turbo on it down the road, then forget about AC. the b18c or b16a2 are drop in swaps. they bolt up, and a few wires, and its done. and even in a Prelude, there is no room to work on an H, so i can only imagine what its like in a civic. the H22 also has a coupl eof design flaws that the B doesnt. like the T-belt tensioner is an unreliable hydraulic one, and you should convert it to a manual one before you install the motor. I personally wouldnt do an H in my DD because of a few of these issues. now if it were a weekend sleeper/track car, then maybe. the only thing it has over a gsr motor in my book, is its less expensive.

gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.... i was more leaaaaaaaning towards the b16a2 cuz of the bang for the buck.. i get what ur sayin about the traction issue that to much torque would pose but stiilllllllllllllllll, i get murdered on an uphill.. i know the h22a would be a difficult swap, but i been lookin around and have found some mounts specifically designed for the swap and stuff.. bleh.. i just dont like how heavy the h22a is.

b18c sounds nice, but a bit more pricey.

way more pricey, but worth it in the long run if you can muster it up.
