Autocross and Road Course Racing - track and autox, real fun weekend

i had a kick a$$ weekend. saturday drove to WV for Hyperfest at Summit Point Raceway. took my car out on one of the tracks for a couple sessions with an instructor. it was bad f*ckin a$$. was my first time out on a real track, learned a hell of a lot. i did two back to back 20min sessions, each felt like an hour out there lol. i can say for damn sure my autox experience showed. both of my instructors were very impressed, my first instructor said i was the best student he's ever had. my second instructor didnt even instruct, just kinda sat back and enjoyed the ride. had a nice conversation about track days while i was driving lol.

i also have in car video of both sessions. they're 20mins each, still need to edit and upload to a host. may not have it up for a couple days...


on sunday, went to an autox event. very short course but still fun. it was held by a private club and it was just a test & tune event, no classes, no points, just for fun kinda deal. comparing my times to other cars out there, i did pretty well. really want to try out some r-comps to compare my times. hopefully next year i can afford another set of wheels/r-comps.

anyways heres vid from that autox. first clip is my best run in the morning and second is my fastest run of the day.

all in all, a damn fun weekend. car took a lot of abuse and still survived and managed to roll over 190k miles on sunday. it took a few bruses tho. my left outter outer tie rod ball joint boot tore and it seems like im leaking a little trans fluid, bad trans housing gasket.

Very nice, what part of WV is that in? I havn't heard of it.

its on the very very east side. its right on the border or Maryland and Virgina. im from central Maryland, the road i take to get there actually passes thru like a couple miles of Virginia and then into West Virginia.

finally got the in-car vid from the track. its not all that exciting ill admit but w/e. for some reason i couldnt get the first session on my computer which sucks because u could hear my instructor talk and whatnot.
