I replaced my tail lights recently on my 08 civic lx. There is slightly color variation between the new tail lights and the 3rd brake light. I would like to replace the 3rd brake light with some LED lights similar to my tail lights.

I have been looking through the web and I just can't find anything for the 8th gen civics. Does anybody have any websites where they are selling these?

They make a kit to swap the 3rd brake light out of your car with the led setup that is stock in the ex. It's like 98 bucks or so here's the link to it, about half way down the page.

So is the LED light red when unlit? Or is it like silver reflective when the led's aren't on? That's how my tail lights are. Would like to remove the red from rear window like I did on the tail lights. thanks

 

I would think that the LED's themselves would be red and have a red lens, but it may just be a red lens and clear LED's i'm not 100% sure. Just by looking at it though I'd say the LED's themselves are red.
