ehh, the OZ isnt all that. its like 130 hp or so, and mitsu isnt known for selling lightweight cars. i think it was a good solid kill.

lancers are big POS, except for EVOs that is. I saw a kid in an OZ lancer running low 18s witha 5spd, which is rather sad. Those cars are seriously underpowered and weigh more then my 5-series

Also, a stock civic DX will run low to mid 17s. It has weaker engine, but lancer weighs 2x more. It all comes down to power/weight ratio

I 100% agree. Every non-evo lancer is a huge POS.

yeah probably cause lancers were designed with all the goodies initially then US neutered them, ya know AWD turbos modified engines, they are "cute" cars but we not much bette rthan that, my brother just bought an 03 lancer im trying to convince him to let me tweak it out with his money HAHA
i just love working on cars

I'm not sure if it's worth to mod that engine. I mean it's a sloppy-handling FWD platform that weighs like 4000lbs (this is actually the weight of the EVO). I also doubt that this engine could take much boost if you go that route. One of the only FWD cars that are worth modifying are civics and integras (they are light and ITR is arguably the best handling FWD car out there). If you do consider modding it, you should sap in an EVO motor and go crazy about weight reduction

evos dont weigh 4k. a fully loaded MR is only 3263 (hehe, ONLY 3263 lbs on a civic forum?)
but the OZ still weighs a hair over 2700 lbs, so its quite a bit heavier than the civics slightly less than 2300 lbs. thats a lot of extra weight in a car that has 3 more hp. but the new Ralliart has 162 HP, and weighs in at a hefty 2843lbs.
but still, if its not an Evo, Ill stick to my civics.:D

Im gonna have to disagree. The ralliart is a very nice car and competes with the civic.

yeah. he raced you and he lost. thats all that matters. if a SC mustang Cobra with nitrous pulls up next to me and revs at me to race and i do, then i beat him, he cant start making excuses. i dont care if you are pulling a jet ski and have 8 people in your car, you raced. and you lost. if you didnt want it to count as a race, then you shouldnt do it. and "my car is heavier than yours." would be a rediculous excuse anyways.
