I have a '95 Civic and am using the blits kit from TSC. I'm wondering whether anyone can give me some advice about a problem with the front bumper. With the styrofoam and the plastic bumper blocks removed, the grille opening of the bumper is still preventing me from properly fitting the new bumper to the car. It hits the square tubular steel bumper frame welded to the front of the car. I'm afraid if I cut into that, it will weaken the car. It seems like my only other option is to try and trim the grille opening of the bumper so it isn't as deep, and might no longer hit the frame. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
