Default APEXi World Sport II Exhaust installed today :)

I haven't done any work on any car really, my first time being underneath a car actually

Process is very straight forward, can't mess anything up unless you really don't know what a car is, seriously. The thing that slowed me down the most were rusted bolts that attached to the back of the cat. After extreme patience and arms feeling like they're going to fall off, I had finally got the nuts loosened.

Most work I've done on a car, dirtiest I've gotten from working on a car and I feel good right now. I was curious to see how much shops were charging to do all the work for me, each wanted $120.....(lol'ing in my head)

So here's the back of the car after installation, sorry for crooked pic. Tip looks smaller than the pic makes it to be, just the perception of standing and looking at it:

Sounds very nice. A low deep tone, doesn't get all raspy at high rpm's either. I like the powder coated finish thoughout the exhaust. Everything was a perfect fit, however after test driving about 2 miles I came to a stop light and smelt something burning. I tapped the gas and light smoke was coming out from the back. I'm thinking, either the bumper is burning or it's just normal for it to do that after the initial run.

Bumper looks ok, but I think it's just the gaskets that are causing the burning smell, have to break them in or something or it's just the metal heating up inside the exhaust. I'll drive it again later, hopefully the burning smell goes away.

I'm still running the stock cat, magnaflow high flow cat hasn't gotten here yet, but my question about that is do I need a sensor extension and need any special tool to remove the sensor from the cat?

$420 with shipping on ebay. Used live search, got 30% discount on item price so technically I paid $301.50(discount applies only to item and not shipping)

msn live.com cashback is still offering 30% off ebay items, no one knows how long it'll stay at 30%, could drop at any day.

the burnings normal since it's new

oh and for the cat, if you take the cat off the car (unplug the sensor from its harness before removing the car) and then remove the sensor from the cat while it's off the car, you can just use a big open-end wrench if you can get the cat to stay still while you tug on the wrench. If you have a workbench with a vice, just clamp down the cat to the vice and crank away with your wrench.

no, since you're not changing the location of the cat.

I keep trying that Live search and it's not working. What exactly did you do?

1. go to live.com
2. at top right click "cashback"
3. at right, click "see your cashback", register/create account

after you're done with free sign up go back to live.com

1. type in something in the search that pulls up ebay like "wii".
2. near the top in light gray box it should say "you may get 30% off ebay with paypal", click that highlighted box
3. as long as that 30% icon is present, you use buy it now, and pay for it with paypal that icon will always stay there and when you checkout it'll say how much you'll get back before you finalize purchase.

you can only get a maximum of $200 off per item. Discount does not apply to shipping (so request the seller offer you the item with shipping including, but have shipping listed as free)

you can use cashback on one ebay account 6 times. If you want to use it more you can make a new ebay account and use it with your existing paypal account.

hope this helps
