My friend and I were going to the movies and we decided to take separate cars, my 97 ex and his 95 neon, we get on the interstate and he started revving on me, so i decided to go for it. his neon has exaust, header, and intake. My civic has a muffler, intake. We lined up goin bout 60, then we went for it and we raced about 8 miles down the interstate and he couldnt even keep up with me, i was waiting for him in the parking lot of the movies when he pulled up. so i found out civic=nice, neon=rice.

No one on here will condone street racing, but i suppose a kill is a kill. I used to drive a neon for a while (loaner from my parents while i went to college), and they are DEFINITELY not fast. It does fill good to pull on someone like that tho no matter what they drive. Build your ride up, make it faster, and as yo uprogress you will start to beat better and better cars. The better the car you beat, the better the feeling gets.

ON THE TRACK OF COURSE!

His dad works at a dodge dealership. I rode in the car a few times it is like 100% plastic and he put 17' adr rims on it, so it looks like a ricer, the rims would look better on my civic, i dont think theyd fit though

Patrick

so the rims make his neon a ricer, but not your civic? :D

but seriously, is it a sedan or coupe? a friend of mine has a 95 sebring coupe, with a stock 2.0L SOHC driveline (130k), with LSD and a stage 4 clutch, and with a 50 shot, it runs 15 flat. so the same engine with a better diff and the same tranny, in a bigger car with 17" rims.. it runs pretty good. without the bottle, i was racing it last year whe i broke a motor, i ran 16.50 NA, without the LSD with the stock clutch.
so if he has that work done, its got something wrong with it, or your civic runs very well.

yeah, its its the dual cam thats a 420A mitsu/dodge motor. The same one in the NA 2g eclipses. THose things have some potnetioal.

If its single slammer it has potential too. Potential to blow the head gasket.

i have seen some screamin' SOHCs too..but stock they are best for ruining head gaskets...:D

yeah, and that same motor went into some of the Sirrus or whatever they were called. My boss had one, and one of my employees had one. Both of them blew the head gaskets. One of them just drove it to the dealership and traded it in and got a neon with the single cam.

yes...all of the 1st gen "cloud sedans" (cirrus, breeze, stratus) came with either a 2.0L auto or manual (very rare), or a 2.5 automatic. the sedans have since gone to a 2.4 or 2.7 V6, and the coupe, like mine, have the 3.0 mitsu driveline

Why would they name them after clouds????????????????

Ever notice that most ford names can have the word anal in front of them?

Sweet. I don't feel so stupid anymore about my two beats in my civic's history: a Beretta and one of those wack old Volvos.

i wouldnt mess with volvos - turbocharged ones that is. Even those old boxy wagons could be hella fast.
