The hose broke? wtf?
That means it was hardened (suppose to be soft but still stiff) and should have been replaced a long time ago.

It's caused by deterioration. The hoses should be inspected and replaced during normal maintenance.

can you post a picture of what you're talking about?

are you talking about the header hose that goes into the block, directly underneath the distributor?
It's possible that the hose in that area became too soft and separated from deterioration. That nearly happened to me, but I caught the problem in time to replace it before it broke.

only you can answer that

is the radiator's hose port damaged? or is just the hose damaged?

Oh, that.
Under that plastic tubing you do have a rubber hose, correct?

What I would do is remove the broken piece from the rubber hose, and then clamp the hose onto the piece on the radiator that is still sticking out
Use one of those screw-on adjustable metal clamps, and don't do it too tight.
That goes to the overflow reservoir and isn't under pressure or anything really so I would just do whatever you can to rig it to work, that should suffice.
