There is a punk in my town with a del sol and he says hes a 'streetracer' and 'he races for money' I really want this dude to get beat, and I was wondering if i should challenge him to a race,(at a track) so before i embarrass myself will my 97 civic ex beat his del sol if we both have intake and exaust?

I suggest finding out exactly what he has under that hood before you go challenging him. If he wont tell you, then race him and find out for yourself.

where in south carolina? I live in charleston. If he has some bottom of the line del sol you might get him... do you have a 2 or 4 door? I could see him posibly winning because of weight factor. If you have a 2 door youll have a good chance to get him.

How many guys would go around saying they were a "street racer" and race for money if they didn't have the B16?

Thousands upon thouasands. They come to my work all the time, sometimes in bone stock LS tegs with subs and go on to tell me how they have been street racing for years and never lost or what ever.
