ECU Tuning & Fuel Management - ecu question...

what ecu will give you the best perfomance out of the d16y8 is the stock ecu programable? do you guys program ur ecus what chips do you recomend?

you cant reprogram your stock ECU. You can get a "piggyback" system that kinda tricks your stock ECU or just buy a performance chip that plugs into your ECU and remaps air/fuel, speed-limiter, etc. Go get the newest edition of "modified" magazine (with the blue sytline on it) Its got a full like 10 page article about after market computer managment systems... good stuff.

thanks ill look at the mag. ...thats what i thought...ive seen the chips in mags and online and the prices run from like (300 to 400 the ones i saw) are they worth that much? and which ones do you guys use? but also i have heard of puttin other ecus in should i use the stock ecu and chip it or what...if switchin ecu s which ones do you recomend for the d16y8 or maybe the z6?
