Header, Intake, & Exhaust - Magnaflow high flow cat help

I'm looking for a high flow cat to go along with my header I'm gonna buy,might as well do them both at the same time ya know.I have 2 problems though:

1)I wanna be certain it is a high flow because nowhere can I find it called a high flow or performance cat.I just wanna be sure it's not a stock replacement.

2)I have a 00 Si.I have part #22630 from magnaflow.Cheapest I can find it is $193 shipped.But I see part number 22628 for much cheaper.Both are for 1.6 civics 96-00.I had thought that most cat's would be the same from 92-00.Anyone that can help me out I would appreciate it!

Magnaflow is what you want.

92-95 and 96-00 catalytic converters are different because the 96-00 has an O2 sensor bung, whereas the 92-95 does not. You need a 96-00 catalytic converter for your 00 Si.


The reason you "need" the 22630 is that it has the O2 bung midway through the catalytic converter, whereas the 22628 has the O2 bung after the entire catalyst.

The flanges might be different too.

The 22628 might work (it will work fine concerning the O2 sensor), but i'm not sure about the flanges.

I have the magnaflow too and love it, you can usually get a used one on ebay or cragislist. I wanted a valid warranty so I got it here. Magnaflow 22628 (http://magnaflow.allexhaust.com/product.php?productid=7543?odc1l=22628). Also some of the forum sponsors selling magnaflow (http://magnaflow.allexhaust.com) usually have a sale going on. Either way its a great cat, sounds great, and very easy to install.
