Hello. I have a 2000 civic ex manual 5 speed. I read a couple other threads about squeaky clutches but my issue seems to be a little different. Something squeaks as I push the pedal down and as I release it back up. It's not the pedal itself and I don't think it's the slave cylinder or shift fork either. It started about a year ago but all I had to do was take off that rubber boot around the shift fork and spray WD40 into that opening (what looks like the tranny itself maybe)? It would go away for about a month and then come back but I would just spray more WD in it and it was fine for another few weeks.

Now it's so bad that I have to spray WD in there every day! I tried greasing up shift fork anyways to see, but it's only when I spray WD40 in that opening behind the boot. Does anyone know of something that needs to be greased in there? From the looks of it, it would probably be a pain to get in there.
