6th Gen - HID kit from HIDExtra.com review

I have recently received and installed the 9003 Diamond Blue HID conversion kit that I ordered from HIDExtra.com. The kit came with everything that was listed in the online description. The kit was practically plug and play and it went in with ease in about half an hour or less.

The kit is so easy to install that I barely needed the instructions that are provided. When I turned them on for the first time I was surprised on how bright they were compared to my halogens that I previously had in.
They are amazingly bright and light up the road. And for an additional plus they have an awesome looking blue tint to them.

Another plus to the HID kit is that it is completely waterproof. Every plug has a rubber seal on it to prevent water from damaging any connections which is a plus for when I degrease my engine bay.
All in all, I am very happy with this product.

From what I can tell this HID kit is durable, reliable, and cost effective. If you are looking to upgrade your lights to something brighter, i strongly suggest this conversion kit.

numerous zip ties

You have to check your local laws. In Arkansas, for example, the police use only blue lights. So blue HIDS are illegal.

Hi, to answer the legality of the HID kits, in general anything that is not OEM (4300K) is illiegal, BUT because the market for this HID is so broad and HID's are now a commodity and accessories to the overall general public, the cops in general give leniency to the public citizens who purchases these HIDs as an alternative for a brighter projection of visibility when driving. The more visible the colored HID (example: Blue blue, purple, green) are more likely to intimidate them because it poses a visibility issue to other drivers. :) Therefore we always recommend staying between 5000K and 8000K, and the safest would be 5000K (closest to oem color) and 6000K white.

I wonder why though, because I see Mercedes Benz and BMWs, etc.. driving down the road and their lights are clearly not anything close to 4300k.. in fact, they're a lot closer to 8000k from the looks of it.

There are alot of things that affect the colors that you see,

1.) The ballast wattage (35w or 55w) some Mercedes and BMW has 55w which projects 15% brighter light, but is more expensive and the life of the ballast is shorter

2.) The material and thickness of the housing cover (Glass or plastic)
the thicker the glass, the more bluish it will project as the same with any
glass material doors/windows and such.

3.) The age of the cover and the material of the projector and reflector inside the housing
