I was looking at this 94 Civic EX Automatic. The guy said make if an offer so i said that i was going to get back at him when i found out a pirce. He told me that the car had 180,000 miles on it and that none of the guages worked and none of the ionterior light work either, i told him it was no problem that i could fix it. he called me today and said that the car was worth 5 grand. i told him that was going to offer him 1500 to 2000 dollars for that and he said that it was worth more than that. You guys tell me what you think and if you have any questions i will try to answer them.

2-3 grand is it PERIOD tell him to screw off lol

No way in HELL is that car worth 5k. With it having 180,000 miles and none of the gauges or interior lights working, I say no more than $3000. According to Kelley Blue Book & if the car is in good condition, they list the car at $3100. IF you buy the car from him (DON'T BY ANY MEANS), the price he is asking for is definetly a RIP OFF!!

i would laugh right in his face and buy a car with a manual tranny somewhere else

I told him that he can take the car ans shove it up his butt, he said that the car is worth it because its a civic, i said that it doesn't mattet then he tried to tell me that the car only has 156,000 miles on it, but screw him and that car. i just wanted teh car for a project car anywaysbut y would i pay 5K for a project car

oh yeah he also told me that he has a friend that works at a honda dealership and that he was going to have it appraced i told go right ahead but you are not going to get alot for the car

worth alot because its a civic??? lol thats a new one! its not like we are talkin about a porsche here. this guy must be a moron. you could go online and find a civic with less miles and some mods for what this guy wants for his! they arent hard to find. check out autotrader.com when you find one.....drive back to this dealership....show the guy the car.....and laugh at him one more time just for the hell of it

i was looking o Kelly blue book website and the reatail value is worth 4,945, but that is the retail value, and the private party value is 2,730, and the trade in value is like 1,470. know i would hyave offered him 1,240 or 1200 or 1250 for the piece of crap but we have all said SCREW him

he called me back today and said that he woudl take 2300 for the car so i said bring it down to teh shop and i will look at it and see what the problem is witht the electrical stuff. my boss came over and he started looking at stuff and said this car isn't that bad when he was doing that i was looking ion the fuse box and the fuse was blown. how dumb is this guy??????????? i mean seriously did you ever think about looking at that, I THINK NOT. so the car is fixed and is running beautifly. so what do you guys think

if everything is working good now, then $2300 sounds like an ok deal. However, I'd still offer a little less. Like $2k cash or so.</P>

i offered him 2k but he wouldn't take it and i just found out today that he had a boddy kit on it. i am thinking about buying cause ever sinced i wrecked my 03 civic LX i miss them. i sold my 93 LX mustang to buy the civic. I had my 03 civic for like 2 weeks before i wrecked it. Some guy fell asleep and ran into the side of me and totaled the car. If i can get ahold of my friend i will post up some pics. Ever since i had that car i have been in love with civics everybody is like they are slow pieces of crap. My friend aaron has a 2001 Z28 that is doing low 12's and my friend jomar has a 91 CRX with a B18a1 motor swap with an integra trans, i forgot what he did to the motor but i think he did everything you could do to it PLUS a 150 shot of NOS. He brought the car up to the shop to look at the civic that i am thinking of buying and my friend aaron was up there too jomar told me to take his car out to go get gas and aaron said that he wanted to, GUY i am not F'n with you all he saw was the tail lights of that crx, it was bad ass</P>

oh yeah he has some GREDDY turbo on it and an intercooler i forgot what he said he is doing in the quarter but i will try to figure it out and let you guys know whats up

If the car is in good shape (interior &amp; exterior), then I would think abt buying it. If you have extra money to spend,I would think highly of doing a motor swap -- maybe the B16A1 or A2. However, since the car is automatic, you may be limited on your choices?? </P>

omg heck no that car is not worth 5g...that guys got issues.....i got my 97 ex for 4,900....it was being sold at 5,590 .... with 81,000 miles of course i pointed out the minor scratches on the car and stuff ...and the guy lowered it to 4,900....if he doesnt lower the price to 1-2g...forget it......its not worth it.....STUPID!!!!</P>

I always think the best thing to do is check kbb (http://www.kbb.com) and find out the used value before you make an offer. You don't want to get ripped.

the guy called me back at the shop that i work at and said that he needed the money A.S.A.P., We agreed on that i would pay him after i got back from ocean city which is in a month cause when i got back cause i would have the money cause this guys owes me about 2G's for working on his car 1 weekend, but anyway he said that that was cool and that he would sell it to nobody else but me, i said cool i will call you later so we can figure out whats going on. so anyway he called me and said that he needed the money now and that he had a guy on the way to look at the car and that the guy was very interested in the car, i said well y r u going to sell the car to this guy when we had an agreement he said i need the money to pay for my new car. i said well call me back when you r done with the dude. so he called me back and said that the guy was driving the car home the guy gave him 3500 bucks for the car, come to find out it was my cousin that bought the car. So i got SCREWED not only by this guy but also my cousin. So needless to say he needs a new paintjob after last night so never trust nobody, but i told the guy to take his new car nd shove it up your A**. Tell me what you guys and GIRLS think f this situation

I THINK IT'S WORTH 5 THOUSAND KICKS IN HIS A$$ ESPECIALLY FOR THE IT'S WORTH IT CUZ IT'S A CIVIC COMMENT. I ALSO OWN A LEGEND AND THOSE HOLD VALUE TO A POINT BUT DAM. I HAVE A 4 DOOR 94 CIVIC LX I THINK I SHOULD BE SELLING IT FOR MY COUSIN I A MONTH OR SO AFTER I DO A HEAD JOB ON IT.
