do these things even work has anyone tried one? I saw it in Summit. And if they do work is it worth the $300 price tag. It's for a 2000 Civic Ex V-tech, or is there a better controller out there

its basically a chip for your ecu with an on/off function also contolable by the tps signal. you could have a shop burn you a chip designed to work with your car according to your modifications for 1/4 that cost.

i put the vemon module on to a neon and it works, but it does not give you 25% more power like they say. it gave it like 7-12% more power. is it worth the $300 no. it has one wire on the tps and one wire on the map sensor. it is conneted to the tps because it only comes one at WOT. the other wire changes the voltage going to the ecu from the map sensor and gives the engine more fuel.

lol, tried to install skunk2 mani with a TB with a friend of mine yesterday couldn't do it, ran out of time he had to go to work. We just couldn't get to the two rear bolts that were under the runners. I was hoping that would go on and the venom would be next but nope. Maybe next week.

what do you mean when you say it won't do what they say, but it's usefull? are you trying to say that it will make my car faster? by the way, I know you won't gain 25% HP.

Ok, got the car back yesterday from the tuner, Skunk2 manifold that I portmatched was installed with the 68mm throttle body. However, he didn't install the venom and a fuel pressure regulator ,he said I needed an after market fuel rail, I don't see why in the hell you would need an after market fuel rail for Venom. Any ways, he also tightened down the kick down cable to the tranny. After that I took the car for a spin, and damn, it hauls. That skunk2 manifold and that TB really make a huge differencew, I mean midrange and top end really really imporved. I must have gained at least 15 crank HP. I'll try to get some pics and videos soon. Soon as I get venom installed I'll also post.

So, My friend has a Venom 400 on his 86 Mustang that is currently getting a new motor, so he said I could have it and hook it up to see what happens. So, now I need to know where to hook it. hehe.
Pretty sure it uses like two wires, just need to find the wire for my MAF (or MAP, not really sure). Any advice, or other knowledge about how to hook it up? I am kind of flying blind here, since I have no directions and don't know where it is supposed to hook up.

to install your MAF sensor, you will need to use the harness that runs to your MAP sensor. So this means that you must replace your MAP sensor with the MAF sensor. The MAP sensor is located on your intake manifold, rite above where the vacume hose connects.
This site contains a service manual for 92-95 civics. the location of your MAP sensor is in the Fuel/Emissions section. (section11-page54).

I have it, and it didint really make much difference, nothing on top end really. It seems to work a little in the midrange during like normal driving, but over all nothin special, I would never pay300, got mine from ebay for half that.
