EG Swaps - whats the best engine for my car?

Hey guys, I have a 96 civic EX non V Tech manual transmission, i got this car two years ago as my first car. It was fine back then because all i wanted to do was drive but now i think its too slow. What do you guys think its the best engine i can put on it to make it go faster? i heard that the B18c1 is a good engine to get but im not sure, does anyone know the specifications of the engines? thanx for the help

First of all, how much do you wanna spend for an engine? Because there's also a nice B18C5 that'll slide in there.

I got about $4000-4500, though i can go up to $5000 but thats only if i really have to. also, does the total price include installation?

If you do some shopping around you could prop get a B18c1 installed for about that.

Specs are 1.8 litre dual overhead cam VTEC (no H) 180 HP.

Its a good engine.
