Hey all, I just bought a 2004 Honda Civic EX. I LOVE my Honda! I was considering getting a nose mask for it to keep the bugs off the paint...does anyone have any opinions on whether or not I should do that?

IMO they look kinda cheesy if your are going to mod your car (suspension, wheels/tires) but if you are gonna keep it pretty much stock then I think they look alright.

I agree with what polo said. Nose masks kind of distract the F/E of the car's appearance. However, if your not gonna mod the car at all, then I say go for it.

Thanks everyone! Also, does anyone know where I can get a good deal on interior accessories for the 2004 Civic? I'm starting from the inside out!

Nose masks?

I've always though they were really tacky looking. I'd rather repaint my hood every year than be seen with one of those. That's just my opinion.

I think they are pointless... b/c when u do take them off (after some time has passed) all the dirt that got under there scratches the paint when u take it off. Also, the sun fades the rest of your hood except for the part that was covered. Just my opinion though, Ive never been a fan.

i agree!! those things will scratch the hell out of your front end. Personally, i think they look nasty on a car. If you are that concerned about the front end of your car get the invisible one. Its basically a clear film you put over the front of the car. You cant see it at all except at the seam and you have to REALLY stare at the car to even see that. It will serve the same purpose without taking away from clean look. Plus you dont have to worry about anything getting in underneath it.

Those things sound like such a good idea, but i've never ever seen one

i saw an infomercial for them a couple of years ago...i saw them at autozone about 8 months ago....far better idea than a bra. check out your local automotive store (autozone, parts america etc)...they should have them there. they arent that expensive

I meant ive never seen one on the road. Does anyone actually know someone with it? Not that Im gonna put it on my ride, but its a better choice than a bra

you wont see one on the road. you literally cannot tell it is on the car unless you are staring at the hood. its just a clear plastic film

I wish i had one. In MA they salt and sand the roads so badly it takes a serious toll on my front bumper. I would get one and just use it in the winter, or after the put sand down

drive from san francisco to la and all the bugs and crap will make you run to get one.

Nose masks...I know someone down my road with one and it looks really dodgy. If you can't appreciate the beauty of your car, don't buy one. Personally...I'd not get one and enjoy your car...otherwise it'll always bee at the back of your mind that you've got a sun burn on the nose of your car...
