Inside and Out - Speedometer Help!!

Sometimes the speedometer works sometimes it doesnt, this is in a 95 civic ex with the indiglo gauges.. any solutions as to what may get this to work all of the time....

first thing id check is the vehicle speed sensor. its on the top of the trans, behind the starter. if you have a friend with a similar car, swap them out and see if it fixes it. if not then look for shorts in the wiring, especially the ground wire to the sensor.

if that doesnt work then your gauges might be shot. Check junkyard for a new one. pretty cheap
