ED-EF Swaps - 89 crx w/d16y8 swap cutting out!!!View Full Version : 89 crx w/d16y8 swap cutting out!!! 89crx 08-31-2005, 11:52 AM Hello I am very new to the whole swap thing on these cars I have a 89 crx with a d16y8 out of a 96 ex civic I am running a pr4 computer but the car keeps cutting out badly below 3k rpms above that the car pulls very well and very smooth any suggestions?? EF_VtI 09-02-2005, 11:08 AM is your oxygen sensor connected properly?? 89crx 09-03-2005, 12:02 PM Where exactly is that located at on there? seandala 10-08-2005, 12:06 PM 02 sensor is on the exhaust but if its cutting out at low rpms there could be a few issues air/fuel mix, and i don't know if it has a timing chain but if it does it could be off a tooth or 2. but a faulty 02 sensor should allow it to run with a check engine light on and the computer go back to its base programming (not use that sensor input) |
