Inside and Out - how do you take ebrake handle and shift knob off?

any good sites with pictures on how to do this?i want to replace them.

For the shift knob you just have to twist that thing "lefty lucy" It takes a lil muscles but I was in traffic once and got mad and pull on it and it started to untwist. Nice stress remover. There is a guy with a 88 civic hb at school and his is so loose it jsut pulls off like buttter. Everyone always steals it.
