Default How to hook up gauges: oil/engine temp, oil pressure

Anyone have any tips on installing aftermarket pillar gauges, such as oil temp, oil pressure, or engine temp? My engine temp on my stockcluster is broken, so thats why im interested in getting a new one. When i get my triple pillar pod i'm getting voltmeter, tach, and then one of those three. Any recommendations on which one to get, as in which one would be most useful, and any tips on how to hook it up?

oil pressure would be useful, i know how to do the volt and tach and kind of an idea about the pressure, but not really sure. It'd be an electrical gauge, not a mechanical one with extra oil lines ran into my interior.

even ebay ones? or are the Autometer gauges that much higher quality than the ebays? My friends got any ebay tach and voltmeter and they seemed to work jsut fine...

yup, even the ebay ones. I used Glow Shift gauges and both came with instructions and wiring diagrams

The glow shift gauges aren't entirely accurate, and I will not be running them on my next setup. They're alright for n/a "look cool" goodies, and will be ~90% accurate for the most part.

Just do NOT get the tinted ones. They're impossible to see during the day when the sun is on your drivers side and/or behind you

I have oil and volt. Volt is so easy. Just hook it up to a 12v. And oil is a pain in the ***, you need to get behind your block and pull out the oil pressure sensor (mine is right above the oil filter on the d16y7)and install the new sensor with the wires hooked up to it that run to your gauge. It took me a wile.
