hi guys,

i wanted to makea parcel shelf for my civic as it does not come with one. its a 92 civic vti.Does anyone know the method for doing this and if there are any shelfs i can use and modify to make a shelf for my car.

sorry i meant a shelf for my 6x9 s on the back. Speaker shelf.

 

That thing interested me too. I just buy -92 VTI civic. ESI civic is differend from back. so that ESI shelf cant use.

 

hey khizza, ive got a 1994 hatch and wanted to do the exact same thing u r talking about, so i know what u mean, ive been trying to figure out a way to make such a shelf, and im pretty sure there are mounting latches where a possible aftermarket shelf could go, well, ive heard u can buy toneau covers or something for the civic, ill see if i can find the link for such a product to give u an idea. another idea i had was making one out of fibreboard, im not sure if your any good with wood working but i think it could work well, its the same stuff used for sub boxes in some cases. ya so ill look for a link

i check the link out and is it that black piece u mean. That looks odd bit hard to figure out. help me out on it.

 

its really not hard to build one wit the fibreboard...my b/f made one for hishatch, all u have to do is measure it, n draw the outline, n flow it wit one the hand saws, n u can glue fabric over it to make it look better... i think u sould do that, or try...
