Okay, so my houres have been cut at work so I'm forced to focus on free things I can do to the car. I want to take off the H and the CIVC badge on the trunk lid, I'm assuming its adhesive, whats the best way to go about this ?

When I used to do detailing for a living we would use a combination of heat gun and fishing line. Can skip the heat if you're not comfortable with it.

1. Set the heat gun to a low heat setting and keep it constantly moving so as not to harm the paint. You goal is just to warm it and the adhesive a bit.

2. Get yourself some gloves to avoid cutting your fingers (done it before)

3. The take about a foot or two of fishing line, wrap it around your fingers and use it like dental floss, working it back and forth behind the badges.

4. then you can clean off the excess adhesive with your favorite adhesive remover.

Best of luck.
